Sacred Heart Hospital’s Brain & Spine Institute clinical staff earn additional certifications
Eau Claire, Wis., ─ The following clinical staff at the Brain & Spine Institute at Sacred Heart Hospital have recently earned additional certifications:
Lori Abramowicz recently earned her Surgical Technologist certification and has been working at Sacred Heart Hospital since 2003. She holds a surgical technologist diploma from Anoka Hennepin Technical College in Minnesota, which she received in 2002.
Ann Bauer, critical care RN, earned her CNRN (Certified Neuroscience Registered Nurse) certification from the American Board of Neuroscience Nursing. Ann earned her bachelor of science in Nursing degree from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire in 2002.
Katie Holden, RN, recently received her CNRN (Certified Neuroscience Registered Nurse) certification from the American Board of Neuroscience Nursing. Katie earned her bachelor of science in Nursing degree from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire in 2002.
Ann Spielman recently earned her Surgical Technologist certification. She holds a surgical technologist diploma from Chippewa Valley Technical College, which she received in 2003.
Brook Steele, neuroscience/pediatric RN, recently earned her CNRN (Certified Neuroscience Registered Nurse) certification from the American Board of Neuroscience Nursing. She also is currently pursuing her bachelor of science in Nursing degree. Brook graduated in 2004 from Chippewa Valley Technical College with an associate degree in Nursing.
Kevin Wang, intraoperative neurophysiologist, recently earned his CNIM (Certification for Neurophysiological Intraoperative Monitoring), from the American Board of Electroencephalographic and Evoked Potential Technicians. Kevin graduated in 2006 from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire with a bachelor of science degree in Biology and Chemistry.
“Since the inception of the Brain & Spine Institute at Sacred Heart Hospital, we have placed the absolute highest priority on education, because it is our belief that education and quality are the currencies of success,” said Kamal Thapar, MD, PhD, FRCS(C), a Marshfield Clinic neurosurgeon, and Director of the Brain & Spine Institute at Sacred Heart Hospital. “It is my role as director of Brain & Spine to create leaders. I am very proud of this group of outstanding individuals.”
