Center for Spiritual Care

Located near the main entrance in Sacred Heart Hospital’s beautiful Atrium, the Center for Spiritual Care provides help, hope, resources and pastoral care to patients and their families. The Center's caring and compassionate team members offer a pastoral presence that provides a full range of spiritual and emotional support 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

The Center’s services also reach beyond the hospital walls into the community. Our dynamic Speakers’ Bureau offers presentations to area churches and community groups. We provide educational programs such as an annual Bioethics Symposium, attended by healthcare professionals throughout the Midwest. We also serve our patients and the local community by offering assistance in completing Advance Directives. And through the wonders of modern technology, people from all over the country have joined our online community, and experience spiritual support through our online prayer request.

In these and many other ways, the Center for Spiritual Care takes to heart Blessed Mother Teresa of Calcutta’s inspirational words, “There is hope here.” And through our ministry, the Center strives constantly to be for all people, a living sign of that hope.
